AMI offers heating and cooling coils as an option to most IBC bulk container tanks. A heating and cooling coil can add a cost effective and clean alternative to maintaining a products temperature. Hot water or steam and various cooling products can be used with the coil depending on your application.
A standard coil is constructed from 304 stainless steel and a 28” diameter helical or double helical construction. IBC tank coils are available in many tank sizes, 350 and 550 gallon coils are standard, but any configuration can be designed. Standard tube size is 1-1/4” diameter with NPT inlet and outlet threads. Additional end fittings can be added for the IBC connection of choice.
Supplying heat or cooling to product inside an IBC Tote® tank is cost effective. Heating the product from the outside means heating the tank first before the temperature is applied to product. With a coil the product is heated or cooled first inside the tank.
A coil inside a standard certified IBC tank in stainless steel or carbon steel maintains the original tank integrity. No extra fittings or openings are needed and the original DOT certification can be maintained even with the coil installed. The coil can even be moved from tank to tank depending on you product and application, no need for special dedicated equipment.
